A Thousand Media Clowns

The media has become a circus of clowns. If it looks and acts like a clown then it’s a damn clown. If it looks like a circus, then it’s a circus. To feature the likes of a woman who had eight babies and managed to land a reality show only to be overshadowed by the woman who had nine babies is not news.

News is just that, events that happen around us that we would need to know about to stay safe, stay informed and stay focused. What was once important to us is now put on the side burner and the main course is entertainment. The news media is preying on reality junkies and the reasons are simple, this is where the money is.

The media has also become the place for politics but not for our personal interests, but because they think they are fighting a cause in our behalf. Many folks would rather watch a good television drama then watch these fools lie about what they think is righteous and for our own good. The ratings are dropping for a very good reason; there is no more news, in the news media, only idiots telling us which politician is telling the truth which is absurd because as we all know, a politician only lies when there lips are moving.

Which will it be media news, terrorists trying to kill us, or a bunch of brats running around getting more spoiled by the day? Earthquakes killing thousands, or which survivor cast member got booted on the last show? We don’t want a spin, we don’t want entertainment, we want news and what they are selling us is not why we watch so I guess we will have to turn to Barney Miller or Lucy for a better understanding of the world’s events.
