Haiti, Another crisis not going to waste

American politics and Haiti

The sun still rises as the death rate continues to rise to fifty thousand plus in Haiti. Rom Emanuel the number one Obama henchman once said ever so bluntly, “We should never let a good crisis go to waste.” And so it goes. Obama although finding it ever so hard to make a decision to send more troops to fight terrorists that wish Americans, all Americans dead, he has no problem sending troops to his second home, Haiti.

Haiti, adjacent to its twin counterpart, the Dominican republic, is a desolate country unlike the Dominican Republic which thrives as a resort town. There are some beautiful homes in Haiti, one of which Obama himself owns which is said to be twice the size of his newest home, The White House. The earthquake, which destroyed most of that country, killing so many, and hurting as many, is in need of help and the world is answering that call but....

It seems that Obama like Bush is obsessed. Bush was obsessed with keeping us safe during his duration as out President as is Obama is blaming Bush for everything since the world began. Obama wants to do everything Bush has done but the opposite. Bush was hammered for taking twenty four hours to send aid to Louisiana during there crises so our fearless leader wants to save the day and send troops to Haiti to restore order. So as he finds it troubling to send troops to a war he has no intention to win, which would save live he will blindside even more of our children by sending them into a country where there is no order what so ever.

The looting has already begun with thugs, gangs and thieves with machetes. Our troops, young men and women who joined to defend our great country are going to be defenseless against such terror for fear of being condemned if they need to shoot to kill one of these thugs.

The food is not getting to the people in need in Haiti so what do we do if anything? We can send money and supplies as we should but is it a mute point to do so? The United Nations has forgotten its priorities long ago so one again we might as well send money and food straight to these thugs taking over in that god forsaken country. Do we need to worry that the great wizard of ours, Obama, the man behind that curtain will once again apologize to the world for something we didn’t create? Are we once again going to be hated for being able to help on a moments notice?

Americans always are ready to help, this is what we do, but when the word hates us, why do we care? We have enough problems at the moment to be worrying about the worlds suffering and yet we will help we always do. People die; there is nothing we can do to help those souls. We will send food and clothing, money and prayers to the injured and homeless because that is what makes us the great and powerful but to politicize yet another crisis is beyond shameful.

Helping the people of Haiti will be very problematic. We care because we are a kind nation and we are very giving, period. I only hope that the help we and other nations are offering gets to the people who need it. Corruption is a sad fact of life in that country and the people suffer because of it.

It's not shameful to help those less well off than us. It's kindness. If a starving angry man yelled at me for trying to help him somehow, I think I would still want to help him. But that's just me. I imagine others might be like me too. Sometimes you don't get thanks for charity, but we do it anyway. That's to be expected, Caterino.

Yes it is, but now we learn that all the food we sent , well their government is selling it to those in need. We need to insure that those in need must get things we donate not the slobs that are out for greed. I help and never wait around for a thanks, this is not why we do it.

Very informative post. You made some good points. I especially found it useful where you stated the value of technology.
