The Fix to Health Care in America

Why pay more for free health care

I am trying to understand what the problem is with the Health care system that is making the government panic as if the world will end if we don’t do something, oh, wait, they do that for all of their agenda.

We have two government programs in place already, Medicare and Medicaid. Medicare is for the elderly and disabled, while Medicaid is for the poor.

The government wants a Health care plan in place as soon as possible and will cut billions from Medicare, you know the one for people who are not able to work any longer or are too old to. They won’t be cutting anything from Medicaid, you know, the one where people get everything for free and just refuse to work?

If the government really wants to pass a bill that costs more then anything any insurance has to offer, then what is the point? Medicaid recipients get all their medical care paid for by the government without any co pay for the doctor, hospital or prescriptions. The elderly and people who are disabled have to pay a co pay for all the above mentioned.

If the government really wants to care for us in a way that health care will be available to us at no or a low cost, they can, but it cannot be done with agenda in mind. The plan I am going to simplify will never see the light of day because of its simplicity.

If the government helps the poor, or those who refuse to work with open arms and without a cent in return, why not start implementing a co pay for drugs, and visits to the doctor r the hospital? 22 percent are on Medicaid and all costs are paid for by you and yours truly. If the government implemented a co pay for these individuals, they would not have to cut benefits to those who are not able to work or the elderly so why aren’t they.

If the government implements a co pay to all on Medicaid, as it stands now, they could make anywhere from 90 billion to 120 billion a year in revenue which would make all government run programs self sufficient.

There are thirty million people taking the Medicaid hand out free and clear from our gracious government and if they all pay a five dollar co pay for services, then they and all would be in great shape. The government can then make Medicaid available for every man woman and child free and clear in these United States along with a five dollar co pay for visits to the doctor and the hospital, and for prescriptions they can surely make well over a trillion dollars a year in revenues to keep that health care going for ever.

The truth is, The Government will never do anything that simple because they don’t believe in simplicity. They would rather cut benefits from people who have either worked all of their lives, or can no longer work, then make those who refuse to work pay five measly dollars.

As it stands, the Government plan for Health Care will cost more then it would if you bought coverage from your local insurance company.

The cost of insurance is so high because of its members. I for one would never go to the emergency room for a hang nail, a headache, a common cold, sniffles, a lash in my eye, a stomachache, a stubbed toe or diarrhea. People who go for the above reasons should be ashamed of themselves for driving up the insurance premiums because every time they go to the hospital for any one of the aforementioned reasons, it costs the hospital ten thousand dollars and up for each individual If we can stop the whiners from doing that, we all would be better off, but we will never stop them because they are those who take advantage of the system. These are people who just don’t care.

If the government would see it clear to give us all Medicaid, they would have to deny those frivolous visits no questions asked, nip them in the bud and send them away. Anything that can be cured with a band aid, an aspirin, or a week to ten days, will be sent away in shame.

We don’t need a three thousand page reason why we should implement a health care run by the government; I have just summed it up in one simple page. Now, tell me why I am wrong and why we need to fix health care and not expose those who drive the prices up? Go ahead, make my co pay.

This isn't about health care reform. This is about the expansion of government into our lives. It's a major power trip at our expense. Terrific hub.
